Native Client launches November 1
Native Client goes live for everyone on November 1 at 15:12 UTC. Free on Windows and Linux, with the Store, Native+ and a free founder cape for early accounts.
Native Client goes live for everyone on Saturday, November 1, 2026 at 15:12 UTC (8:42 PM in Sri Lanka). It’s free on Windows and Linux, and it’s the launcher we’ve wanted for years: fast, good-looking, and built around playing with your friends.
What you get on day one
- The full launcher. Every Minecraft version and loader (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt), with Java set up for you.
- Mods in one click. Browse mods, modpacks, shaders and resource packs from Modrinth and CurseForge, and install them straight into an instance.
- Bring your instances. Import what you already have from other launchers in a couple of clicks.
- Quick join. The biggest servers sit at the top of Home with live player counts. One click and you’re in.
- Relay. Friends, chats, groups and voice calls, plus a one-click join to the server your friends are playing on.
- Your look, everywhere. Animated capes and 3D cosmetics that other Native players see in the launcher and in game.
- News, right in the launcher. Updates from us, and the official Minecraft news next to it.
The Store and Native+ open
At launch the Store opens with animated capes, 3D cosmetics and bundles. You can also earn Coins just by playing and spend them in the Store.
Native+ is a 30-day pass for $5.99: every paid cape and every cosmetic while you’re a member, a gold N+ launcher and the Native+ logo next to your name in Relay. It’s one payment and it never renews on its own. Read more about Native+.
A free cape if you sign up before launch
Make a free Native account before November 1 and you get to pick one exclusive founder cape, on us. It stays in your locker for good. Create your account or sign in to claim yours.
How to get it
- Download Native Client for Windows or Linux.
- Sign in with Microsoft, with a Native account, or play offline.
- Pick a version, press Play.
